Summary

CVE-2000-0119 is a vulnerability affecting McAfee Virus Scan and Norton Anti-Virus software. The default configurations for these security tools do not scan files stored in the RECYCLED folder, which is utilized by the Windows Recycle Bin utility. This oversight allows attackers to conceal malicious code in the Recycle Bin, evading detection by these antivirus solutions. Thus, an unnoticed threat can persist in the system, potentially leading to significant security risks.
