Summary

CVE-2000-0087 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting the Netscape Mail Notification (nsnotify) utility in Netscape Communicator. Contrary to user preferences, this utility employs unsecured IMAP connections without SSL encryption. As a result, an attacker can intercept unencrypted data, including plaintext usernames and passwords, during the transmission. This vulnerability poses a significant security risk, as sensitive information can be easily compromised.
