Summary
CVE-2000-0075 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Super Mail Transfer Package (SMTP), later known as MsgCore. The issue stems from a memory leak in the software, allowing remote attackers to overload system resources by repeatedly sending a series of HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, and DATA commands during the same session. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can result in the targeted mail transfer agent becoming unresponsive or crashing, thereby disrupting email services.
