Summary

CVE-2000-0075 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Super Mail Transfer Package (SMTP), later known as MsgCore. This issue arises from a memory leak in the software, allowing remote attackers to overload the system by repeatedly using certain commands, specifically HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, and DATA, within the same session. This persistent flooding of commands can cause the server to exhaust its resources, leading to a denial of service condition.
