Summary
CVE-1999-0808 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting ISC DHCP Distribution server versions 1.0 and 2.0. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted packets with long options, causing the server to crash due to a denial of service. More seriously, arbitrary code execution may also be possible, making this a significant security risk for impacted systems. Organizations running affected DHCP servers are advised to apply patches immediately to mitigate this vulnerability.
