Summary

CVE-2000-0047 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Yahoo Pager/Messenger client. Attackers can exploit this issue by sending a message containing a long URL, leading to a denial of service condition in the affected software. The vulnerability arises due to the client's inability to handle large URLs properly, resulting in excess data being written to a buffer and causing it to overflow.
