Summary
CVE-2000-0042 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the CSM mail server. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a maliciously long HELO command, leading to a denial of service or even command execution on the affected system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to mail servers that have not been patched, allowing unauthorized users to cause disruptions or gain unauthorized access.
