Summary
CVE-2000-0030 is a vulnerability affecting the Solaris dmispd service. This issue permits local users to manipulate the dmi_cmd function in dmispd, leading to excessive file additions in the /var/dmi/db database. The result is the consumption of restricted disk space, potentially impacting system stability and performance. Unauthorized disk space usage can also cause denial-of-service conditions or serve as a stepping stone for further exploitation. System administrators are advised to update their Solaris installations to mitigate this vulnerability.
