Summary
CVE-1999-1577 is a significant buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the HHOpen ActiveX control (hhopen.ocx) version 1.0.0.1 used by Internet Explorer 4.01 and 5. This issue allows remote attackers to exploit long arguments to the OpenHelp method, resulting in memory corruption and potential execution of arbitrary commands.
