Summary

CVE-1999-1542 is an old vulnerability affecting RPMMail versions prior to 1.4. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted email with shell metacharacters in the "MAIL FROM" command. This allows the attacker to execute remote commands on the vulnerable email server, potentially leading to serious security compromises.
