Summary
CVE-1999-1516 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting TenFour TFS Gateway SMTP mail server version 3.2. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a MAIL FROM string with more than 128 bytes, causing the mail server to crash. Potentially, an attacker could execute arbitrary code after the crash, leading to serious security implications. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the mail server to mitigate this vulnerability.
