Summary
CVE-1999-1505 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting QuakeWorld version 2.10. A maliciously crafted initial connect packet sent to a target system can trigger the buffer overflow, resulting in a denial of service crash. Additionally, attackers may be able to execute arbitrary commands if they can successfully exploit this vulnerability. This issue poses a significant risk to QuakeWorld servers and clients using outdated software.
