Summary
CVE-1999-1485 is a vulnerability affecting IRIX 6.5 through 6.5.2 operating systems. The issue involves the Network Information Service daemon (nsd) which unintentionally exposes a virtual filesystem on a UDP port. Malicious actors can exploit this flaw to gain unauthorized access to system files and potentially cause a denial of service by mounting the nsd virtual file system.
