Summary

CVE-1999-1473 is a vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer 3.02 and 4.0. When a user is redirected from one website to another, these browser versions inadvertently resend authentication information to the second site. This issue, also known as the "Page Redirect Issue," could potentially allow unauthorized access to protected resources on the second site. Attackers could exploit this vulnerability by intentionally redirecting users to malicious websites, putting sensitive information at risk. Users are advised to update their browsers or use alternative browsers until a patch is available to mitigate this issue.
