Summary

CVE-1999-1473 identifies a vulnerability in Internet Explorer 3.02 and 4.0 where, during a web site redirection, these browser versions inadvertently resend authentication information to the second site. This issue, also referred to as the "Page Redirect Issue," can enable unauthorized access to user credentials and potentially lead to serious security breaches. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by tricking users into visiting malicious sites, putting sensitive information at risk. To mitigate this issue, users should update their browsers, or consider using alternative browsers that do not exhibit this behavior.
