Summary

CVE-1999-1472 is a vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer 4.0. An attacker can exploit this issue by embedding a small IFRAME on a malicious website, which uses Dynamic HTML (DHTML) to read and send arbitrary text and HTML files from the user's machine to the attacker. This vulnerability, also known as the Freiburg text-viewing issue, poses a significant risk as it allows unauthorized access to sensitive information. Attackers can potentially use this vulnerability to steal login credentials, sensitive data, or install malware on the victim's computer.
