Summary

CVE-1999-1440 is a vulnerability affecting Win32 ICQ 98a version 1.30, and potentially other editions. The issue lies in the software's handling of long filenames. Attackers can exploit this by sending an executable file with a name that includes a large number of spaces. Due to the truncation of the displayed filename, the .exe extension may not be visible, leading users to mistakenly believe the file is harmless and potentially opening it. This could result in the execution of malicious code.
