Summary
CVE-1999-1423 is a vulnerability affecting Solaris 2.3 to 2.6 systems. This issue permits local users to trigger a denial-of-service condition by sending a ping request to a multicast address through the loopback interface. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can cause the system to crash, resulting in a disruption of services.
