Summary

CVE-1999-1412 is a vulnerability affecting Apple MacOS X release 1.0 when used with the Apache HTTP server. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by sending a flood of HTTP GET requests to CGI programs, leading to a denial of service (DoS) attack. The excessive number of generated processes ultimately causes a crash. The interaction between MacOS X and Apache HTTP server allows remote attackers to trigger this vulnerability, potentially disrupting services and causing inconvenience.
