Summary
CVE-1999-1402 is a vulnerability affecting UNIX domain sockets in Solaris 2.x and SunOS 4.x, as well as other BSD-based operating systems prior to 4.4. This issue arises from the disregard of access permissions for these sockets, enabling local users to connect to them. By successfully connecting, attackers may be able to cause disruptions or assume control over the operations of the related program.
