Summary
CVE-1999-1368 is a vulnerability affecting the AV Option for Microsoft Exchange Server used by InoculateIT 4.53, and possibly other versions. This issue arises due to the scanning limitation being confined to the Inbox folder tree of the Exchange server. Consequently, viruses may evade detection if user rules move messages to alternative mailboxes. Thus, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to distribute malware undetected. Users are advised to apply necessary patches or upgrade to a secure version to mitigate this risk.
