Summary
CVE-1999-1364 is a vulnerability affecting Windows NT 4.0 operating systems. This issue allows local users to induce a denial of service condition by providing an illegal kernel mode address to the functions GetThreadContext or SetThreadContext. By exploiting this vulnerability, malicious users can cause the system to crash, leading to disrupted services and potential productivity loss. The illegitimate input to these functions results in the operating system's inability to handle the request, ultimately leading to a denial of service situation.
