Summary

CVE-1999-1361 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 systems running WINS (Windows Internet Name Service). Malformed packets sent to the WINS server can cause resource exhaustion, resulting in a slowdown and an excessive amount of error messages being logged. This issue can be exploited remotely and may cause significant disruptions to affected systems.
