Summary

CVE-1999-1355 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting the BMC Patrol component of Compaq Insight Management Agent 4.23 and older, as well as Management Agents for Servers 4.40 and earlier. This issue arises due to the creation of a PFCUser account with a default password and elevated privileges during installation. An attacker with access to the affected system could exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized administrative access, potentially leading to significant security compromise.
