Summary

CVE-1999-1355 is a vulnerability affecting the BMC Patrol component when used with Compaq Insight Management Agent 4.23 and earlier, or Management Agents for Servers 4.40 and earlier. This issue results in the creation of a PFCUser account with a default password and potentially harmful privileges. An attacker gaining unauthorized access to this account could potentially compromise the affected system, install malware, or make changes to critical system configurations. Users are advised to update their BMC Patrol and Management Agent software to the latest versions to mitigate this risk.
