Summary
CVE-1999-1353 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting Nosque MsgCore 2.14. This issue arises due to the software storing passwords in an unsecured manner. Specifically, the administrator password is saved in plaintext within the AdmPasswd registry key, and user passwords are stored in the Userbase.dbf data file. An attacker who gains local access to the affected system can easily obtain these passwords, allowing them to escalate privileges and potentially take control of the affected system.
