Summary

CVE-1999-1338 is a vulnerability affecting Delegate proxy version 5.9.3 and earlier. This issue grants attackers the ability to create files and directories in the DGROOT with world-writable permissions. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized modification, disclosure, or deletion of critical data. Attackers can take advantage of this weakness by sending specially crafted requests to the affected Delegate proxy server. Organizations using Delegate proxy versions prior to 5.9.4 are strongly advised to apply the available patch or upgrade to a secure version to mitigate the risk of this vulnerability.
