Summary

CVE-1999-1294 is a vulnerability affecting the Office Shortcut Bar (OSB) in Windows 3.51. This issue grants backup and restore permissions to programs launched from the Shortcut Bar, including File Manager. These permissions, although inherited, enable local users to access folders for which they do not have conventional read access. This could potentially lead to information disclosure.
