Summary
CVE-1999-1290 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the nftp FTP client version 1.40. Malicious FTP servers can send overly long response strings, causing a denial of service in the client. Moreover, successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the victim's system.
