Summary

CVE-1999-1289 refers to a vulnerability in the ICQ 98 beta software for Windows NT. Instead of disclosing the public IP address in ICQ packets, this application inadvertently reveals the internal IP address. As a result, remote attackers can gain access to sensitive information about the client or the internal network configuration through the leaked IP addresses in TCP data segments.
