Summary
CVE-1999-1224 is a vulnerability affecting IMAP 4.1 BETA, and possibly other versions, of the imapd server. This issue arises from the server's inability to handle the SIGABRT (abort) signal appropriately. By sending specific command sequences, local users can cause the server to crash, resulting in a core dump. The core dump may contain sensitive password information, posing a significant security risk.
