Summary

CVE-1999-1206 is a vulnerability affecting the SystemSoft SystemWizard package in HP Pavilion PCs running Windows 98, and possibly other platforms and operating systems. Two ActiveX controls, Launch and RegObj, installed by the package are incorrectly marked as safe for scripting, enabling remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through specially crafted web pages. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to users who visit malicious websites, potentially leading to the execution of malware or unauthorized system modifications.
