Summary
CVE-1999-1156 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting BisonWare FTP Server version 4.1 and earlier. A remote attacker can trigger the issue by sending a malformed PORT command that contains a non-numeric character and a large number of carriage returns. This results in the FTP server becoming unresponsive, effectively causing a denial-of-service condition. The vulnerability can be exploited to disrupt the availability of the affected FTP server.
