Summary

CVE-1999-1132 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Windows NT 4.0. The issue arises when the operating system encounters extra source routing data, such as a Routing Information Field (RIF) with a hop count greater than 7 or a list containing duplicate Token Ring IDs. This data can cause the system to crash, rendering affected services unavailable to users. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to launch denial-of-service attacks, potentially disrupting network functionality.
