Summary
CVE-1999-1127 is a vulnerability affecting Windows NT 4.0 systems. The issue lies in the inadequate handling of named pipe RPC connections during shutdown. Attackers can exploit this weakness by creating a large number of connections containing malformed data, causing a denial of service (DoS) through resource exhaustion. This vulnerability, also known as "Named Pipes Over RPC," enables remote attackers to cause significant disruption to system functionality.
