Summary
CVE-1999-1102 is a vulnerability affecting various operating systems, including SunOS 4.1.1, BSD 4.3, and A/UX 2.0.1. The issue lies in the lpr (Line Printer Daemon) utility, which can be exploited by local users to create or overwrite arbitrary files. This is accomplished through a symlink attack that occurs after the user invokes lpr approximately 1000 times. The vulnerability poses a significant risk as it allows attackers to potentially gain unauthorized access or modify sensitive data.
