Summary
CVE-1999-1102 is a vulnerability affecting the lpr (Line Printer Daemon) service on SunOS 4.1.1, BSD 4.3, A/UX 2.0.1, and other BSD-based operating systems. Local users can exploit this issue by creating or overwriting arbitrary files through a symlink attack. This vulnerability is triggered once the lpr command is invoked 1000 times, which can enable attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information or make critical system modifications.
