Summary
CVE-1999-1086 is a vulnerability affecting Novell NetWare 5 and earlier versions when using IPX protocol with a packet signature level below 3. An attacker can exploit this issue by forging MAC addresses in IPC fragmented packets used for NetWare Core Protocol (NCP) calls. Successful exploitation grants the attacker administrator privileges.
