Summary

CVE-1999-1076 is a vulnerability affecting MacOS 9's idle locking function. Local users can bypass password protection on idled sessions by manipulating application dialog boxes. Upon attempting to log out, users are presented with an application verification dialog. By selecting "Log Out" and then "Cancel" in response, users are able to circumvent the password requirement and regain access to the locked session.
