Summary

CVE-1999-1030 is a vulnerability in counter.exe 2.70 that can lead to a denial of service condition. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending an HTTP request with a malformed entry that ends with %0A (newline). This results in a malformed log entry, causing an access violation and causing the application to hang. The vulnerability does not involve any buffer overflow or injection techniques, but rather a parsing error that can be exploited to induce a denial of service state.
