Summary
CVE-1999-1012 is a vulnerability affecting the SMTP component of Lotus Domino 4.6.1 on AS/400, and potentially other operating systems. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a long string to the mail server, leading to a crash and denial-of-service condition. The vulnerability does not involve any direct exploitation of user accounts, but rather targets the server software through a specific input vector.
