Summary
CVE-1999-0950 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the WFTPD FTP server. Attackers can exploit this issue by sending a carefully crafted sequence of MKD (Make Directory) and CWD (Change Working Directory) commands. By creating nested directories, they can cause the buffer to overflow, leading to arbitrary code execution. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to gain root access to the system. This vulnerability is significant as it can result in complete system compromise.
