Summary
CVE-1999-0314 is a vulnerability affecting the ioconfig utility on SGI IRIX 6.4 S2MP systems, including Origin and Onyx2. This issue enables local users to elevate their privileges to root level access by exploiting the way ioconfig handles relative pathnames. By manipulating the pathnames, users can execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges, posing a significant security risk to the affected systems.
