Summary
CVE-1999-0939 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Debian IRC Epic/epic4 client. Maliciously crafted long strings can be used to cause the client to crash, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. This issue may prevent users from accessing the IRC service until the affected client is restarted or patched.
