Summary

CVE-1999-0843 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cisco routers. This issue arises when NAT is used in conjunction with Cisco IOS software and an FTP client sends a PORT command to a Telnet port. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker can cause a denial-of-service condition on the affected router, rendering it unable to process legitimate traffic on the targeted port. This can potentially lead to network disruptions and service outages. It is recommended that affected organizations update their Cisco IOS software to a version that addresses this vulnerability.
