Summary
CVE-1999-0806 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the dtprintinfo program in Solaris. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted input to the program, resulting in the write-past-end-of-buffer condition. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause the program to crash, potentially leading to a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability was discovered in 1999 and poses a significant risk to systems running the affected Solaris version. It is strongly advised that affected systems be updated to a patched version to mitigate this threat.
