Summary

CVE-1999-0770 is a vulnerability affecting Firewall-1 software. The issue arises from a lengthy timeout set for connections initiated with packets other than SYN, including ACK packets. An attacker can exploit this flaw by launching a denial-of-service (DoS) attack through a large number of connection attempts to unresponsive systems. This vulnerability can lead to overloading unresponsive systems with excessive connection attempts, resulting in resource exhaustion and potential service disruption.
