CVE-1999-0770 is a vulnerability affecting Firewall-1 software. This issue arises due to Firewall-1 setting a prolonged timeout for connections initiated with packets other than SYN, specifically ACK packets. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by launching a denial-of-service (DoS) attack through an excessive number of connection attempts to unresponsive systems. This can result in overwhelmed resources and service disruptions.
