Summary

CVE-1999-0762 is a vulnerability affecting Netscape Communicator. Maliciously crafted JavaScript code inserted into a webpage's TITLE tag can trick the browser into revealing sensitive information via the "about" protocol. This issue allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to user data, posing a significant security risk. Netscape Communicator failed to properly sanitize the input in the TITLE tag, leading to this vulnerability. This issue was discovered in 1999 and has since been mitigated in later versions of the browser.
