Summary
CVE-1999-0685 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Netscape Communicator. This issue arises due to improper handling of EMBED tags within the pluginspage option. An attacker can exploit this flaw by crafting a malicious HTML document containing specially crafted EMBED tags.
