Summary
CVE-1999-0513 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting various network devices. It allows for ICMP messages to be sent to broadcast addresses, making the systems susceptible to Smurf attacks. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a large number of ICMP echo request packets to a broadcast address, causing the targeted devices to respond, potentially leading to a denial of service condition.
