Summary

CVE-1999-0486 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting AOL Instant Messenger. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a malicious hyperlink to a receiving client. Upon opening the link, the client may experience a system crash as a result, making the messenger unavailable for use until the system is restarted.
