Summary
CVE-1999-0461 is a vulnerability affecting various versions of rpcbind, including those used in Linux, IRIX, and Wietse Venema's implementation. The issue enables a remote attacker to manipulate the remote procedure call (RPC) service by spoofing a source address, allowing them to insert or delete entries in the RPC bind table. This vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access, denial of service, or other malicious activities.
