CVE-1999-0387 is a vulnerability affecting legacy Windows systems, specifically Windows 95 and Windows 98. This issue arises from a credential caching mechanism, which stores network passwords in plaintext. An attacker who gains access to an affected system can exploit this vulnerability to retrieve these passwords, potentially allowing unauthorized access to network resources.
