Summary
CVE-1999-0357 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Windows 98 and other operating systems. An attacker can cause a system crash by sending crafted "oshare" packets with potentially invalid fragmentation offsets. These packets may lead to memory corruption and system instability, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. This issue could be exploited remotely, allowing an attacker to disrupt the targeted system's availability.
